Deacon Michael E. Branch

Funeral Mass for Deacon Michael E. Branch, age 67 of Cullman, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Catholic cemetery, with Father Patrick Egan, Father Kevin McGrath & Father John O’Donnell officiating.

Michael was born in Barberton, Ohio on November 11, 1946 to the late Wilfred & Ethel Williams Branch, he passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at his residence. He was a Deacon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a former brick mason, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps, during the Vietnam Conflict, and upon returning, he also served in the Bessemer Marine Corps Unit.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Anna Rose Vance; and one brother, Navy Branch.

Survivors include, his Wife of 42 years – Carolyn Monts Branch; 2 – Sons – Robert (Abbey) Branch of Cullman, and William (Luna) Branch of Montana; 2 – Grandchildren – Lillian & Aven Branch of Montana; and one Brother – W.W. Branch of Salem, Oregon; and a host of Nieces & Nephews.

The family will be receiving friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and the Rosary will begin at 7:30 p.m.
