Mary Katherine Pierce

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Billy Leon Pierce; her daughters, Sonya (Walt) Ledford, Jennifer (Steven) Melton; her grandchildren, Lane Ledford, Kale Ledford, Chasten (Samantha) Melton, Jordan (Zakary) Melton Ivey, Blake (Sarah) Melton; and four great-grandchildren, Carter and Carson Ivey, and Krew and Shepherd Melton; her brother, Herbert (Ann) Nix of Murphy, North Carolina, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Garnie and Dora Lee Dockery Nix.

She was a long term member of Zion Baptist Church of Covington, Georgia and very active in her church while participating in the Jubilee Choir at the Church.

A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Zion Baptist Church, 7037 SR - 212, Covington, GA 30016, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.
