We are here with our children.  It's December 23, 2022. Our family grew up with Father Kevin.  We have many fond memories of him.  He was a wonderful shepherd to his flock.  Prayers. 

I came into the Catholic Church under Father Kevin's leadership on Sept 15 2003, an unusual time and circumstance. I was in Father Kevin's RCIA program and that Monday nite after leaving work on I 565 i had a near death experience.  After class that nite, I told father Kevin what happened and did not want to wait any longer coming into the Church. He agreed, and we with my sponsor went to his office and I had the necessary sacraments plus the anointing of the sick. A very good day for me. Jim Witt, Hartselle, Al PS I regret that I hadn't heard of his passing or I would have been there...

I just found out about Fr. Kevin's death. Fr. Kevin and I both studied at the University of Notre Dame in the 1970s where he was in the PH. D. program and I in the M.A.   He was always kind, cheerful and generous--a true friend-- and I will always remember the conversations I had with him when I visited St. Bernard Abbey in the year that The Hymn Society met in Birmingham. Rest in peace, Fr. Kevin.

Fr. Kevin and I were not only classmates at St. Meinrad School of Theology, but fellow graduate students at the University of Notre Dame.  Kevin's intellect, humor, and generosity were always evident.

I attended St. Bernard and Subiaco Academy with Dan.  He was a true friend to everyone and someone you could depend on.  The earth has lost a good soul and the heavens have gained a new star.

Truly, a Godly man always had a cheerful smile when you saw him. Rest in peace Fr Kelvin!
