Mr. John Henry Cornelius

Funeral Services for Mr. John Henry Cornelius, age 72 of Cullman, will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cullman Memory Gardens, with Bro. Stanley Kilgore officiating.

Mr. Cornelius passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 25, 1938 in Cleveland, AL to the late Calvin and Vera Gibson Cornelius. John was a 1957 graduate of Cleveland High School, a member of Fowler Springs Baptist Church in Blountsville, had worked and retired from the Cullman Electric Coop with over 20 years service and as a reserve officer for the Cullman Police Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Frances Bryan, Jenny Lou Seay and Shirley Mosley; two brothers, Herman Cornelius and Roy Cornelius.

Survivors include his Wife of 41 Years – Mary Schultz Cornelius; one Daughter – Lisa (Keith) Hall of Cullman; one Son – Shawn (Brenda) Cornelius of Vinemont; seven 7 – Grandchildren – Angie (Tommy) Schultz, Robin (Shane) Anderson, Heath (Temki) Hall, Kaicee Cornelius, Ashley Cornelius, Aidan Cornelius and Alex Cornelius; eleven 11 – Great-Grandchildren – Alex, Hannah, Sarah, Clay, Mackenzie, Madison, Mckenna, Brody, Kyle, Morgan and Zoe; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, other family & friends.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
