Gosh, hard to believe.  Losing Uncle Earnesteen was a shock.  He will be dearly missed by all.  So sorry that we won't be able to make it to Alabama (from Ohio) for his funeral.  Hopefully, we will be able to get down in 2020 to visit.  Aunt Kathleen you are in our thoughts and prayers as well as the rest of the Gable family and extended family. Such wonderful childhood memories of all them at Grandma and Grandpa Gables.  The laughs the memories just all flood back.  Much love Aunt Kathleen and the rest of the family.

Kathaleen , I am so sorry for your loss . I have so many fond memories of my childhood playing at Grandma and Grandpa Gable’s and growing up with all my Aunts and uncles . I wish we could sit down and catch up one day . I love you all . Diana 

When Jeff and I was visiting Earnesteen recently he told us a story from his childhood. He told us every Christmas they would get a couple apples and oranges and a grapefruit in their stockings. He said that they also got a coconut.  He smiled and said momma would let us drink the juices from the coconut and then she would use it to make the best coconut cake! He then told us he had told his daddy that he wanted a bike that year. He worked picking cotton and saved up $6! He said I  gave that $6 to daddy and he put another $5 with it and bought an old bike. We fixed it up and I rode that thing everywhere for years.  

The smile on Earnesteen's face as he told that story and the light in his eyes will forever be with me. He was a great man and very much loved and respected by our family. He will be greatly missed.
