Carolyn gave her heart and life to the Lord at the age of nine years old and has faithfully loved and served Him. Her love for her Lord spread to all of those around her. Everyone that met her would say she was the sweetest, most caring lady they had ever met. She loved her family and she was lovingly known as MawMaw to her grands and great grands, whom she adored. She delighted in preparing the family meal every Sunday for many, many years. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Cullman, Lydia’s Sunday school class and served many years in the music department as secretary. She enjoyed working in her flower and rose gardens.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son Jack N. Ray, Jr.; grandson, Levi Lindsey and sister, Phyllis Milkins.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of 68 years, Jack N. Ray, Sr., son, Gary W. (Barbara) Ray; daughter, Kerry Anne (Johnny) Green; grandchildren: Sam Ray, Dylan, Ray, Hank Ray, Eryn Green and Luke Lindsey and great grandchildren: Braydin Ray, Carter Ray, Samantha Ray and Audrey Ray.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Moss Service Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Carolyn Ray will be held in the chapel of Moss Service on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
