Carbon Anthony Todd, 74, of Dodge City, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at UAB Hospital. He was born July 10, 1948. Mr. Todd was the Mayor of Dodge City, Alabama and helped to incorporate Dodge City into a town. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Vinemont Church of God and also served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard (Jeanette) Todd and Dora (Kenneth) Deskin; sisters, Bonetta Raney, Sharon Harp, Mark Scott, Ginger Dickens, Margie Cordes and Tammy Hutchinson.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Todd; sons, Daniel (Michelle) Todd and Stephen (Windy) Todd; grandchildren, Jeremy (Shaye) Todd, Lana Todd and Evan Todd; great grandchildren, Athena Todd and Rylie Todd; sisters, Helen (Kermit) Johnson and Rose (Jonathan) Langston; brother, Kent (Steve Blankenship) Scott and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at Moss Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11 am at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Johnny Bennefield and Rev. Paul Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery.
