Helmuth Schwark

February 5, 1929 to April 11, 2013

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the passing of our Dad, Helmuth Schwark, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the age of 84 with his loving wife, Mary Ann (Wilde) of 58 years at his side. Left to mourn his passing are his children; Larry (Colette Olchowski), Gayle (Ken Piecharka), Rick (Laura Clavelle), Jamie (Helen Coons), Simone (Jim Kerby), Donna (Glen Michayluk), Ron (Carina McChesney), Paulette (David Michayluk), Joe (Sheri Yuzik), and Bobby (Diana Fierke), along with 33 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dad was born on the farm near Cudworth on February 5, 1929. In his youth, and throughout his life, he loved sports, animals, the outdoors, and people. Dad worked tirelessly for the town of Cudworth for 41 years. He always made himself available to help those in need. He coached numerous hockey and ball teams, always instilling a sense of fairness and gaining the respect of both players and parents. In retirement he enjoyed his family, golfing, fishing, gardening, and playing cards. In 2008 Dad was diagnosed with brain cancer. He amazed us with his strength and determination over the past 5 years, without ever a complaint. His last 3 weeks were spent at the Cudworth Nursing Home, in warm surroundings with loving care. The Schwark family wishes to thank the staff and all medical personnel involved in Dad's care. The prayer service will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 7:30 pm and the funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 17 at 10:30 am, both at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church.
