Delmar Frederick Lingel was born on October 2nd, 1930 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Cudworth, SK to John and Mary Lingel. Throughout the beginning of his life, Delmar lived on and farmed the homestead near Cudworth. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, growing tomatoes, card playing, and fellowship with family and friends. In 1976 he married Grace Eckel and became a father to 6 step children. He eventually built his own home and continued to farm until he retired. Delmar moved into St. Michael’s Haven in 2000 and remained there until April 2013, when he was moved into Cudworth Nursing Home. He lived in the Nursing Home until his passing on April 23rd, 2013. Delmar was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Lingel, his wife, Grace, his brothers; Joe Lingel, Ed (Irene) Lingel, and sisters; Irene (Fred) Hebig, and Florence (Frank) Lopinski. Delmar will be lovingly remembered by his step-children; Alan (Janet) Eckel, Diana (Bob) Gristwood, Terry (Pat) Eckel, Eric (June) Eckel, Debbie (Daryl) Hemsley, Kevin (Kathee) Eckel numerous step-grand children, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
