Born in Chicago in 1931, Mary attended Bishop Noll Institute and St. Teresa’s College. She taught elementary school at St. Thomas More.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin. She is fondly remembered by all for always welcoming friends and family into her home. She often quoted her father and, when asked what she wanted, her response was always, "All I want is one kind word."
Mary and Art shared a passion for fishing and, together, they created countless cherished memories with friends and family at Bender’s in Minnesota.
She is survived by her children Thomas (Connie), Katherine, Susan, Joseph (Lisa), and Amy (Greg). She was a proud grandmother and G.G. Ma to her grandchildren, John, Kristen, Sarah, Cameron, Meghan, Allison, and Matthew; and her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jane, Royce, and Margaret; as well as being loved by her several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art, and son, Mark.
