Jeaneanne A. Szymoniak

Jeaneanne A. Szymoniak, age 91, of Schererville, IN passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 surrounded by her family. Jeaneanne was born February 12, 1931 to the late Thomas and Mae (Mayhew) Murray in Logansport, IN.

She leaves behind her three children; daughter, Gale (Robert) Paterson; son, Edward (Linda) Szymoniak; daughter, Theresa (late Rick) Kalemba; five granddaughters, Hillary Szymoniak, Fawn Szymoniak, Shaina Szymoniak, Jennifer Kalemba, and Ashley Kalemba; and two great-grandsons, Hunter Wittlock and Mason Reichart.

Jeaneanne is welcomed into everlasting life by her late husband, Edward J. Szymoniak; son, Eugene Szymoniak; long-time companion, John Brunner; and parents, Thomas and Mae Murray.

She was an AVON lady for over 50 years and had a booth for many years at the Flea Market in Hobart. Jeaneanne was a devoted animal lover who had several dogs and cats throughout her lifetime. She loved Theresa's Sheltie, "Precious" and Gale's German Shephard, "Duke." She enjoyed crocheting until her arthritis took over her hands. She was in a Bunco Club and played Pinochle. Her favorite pastime was to travel. She would chaperon school trips to England and France and spent a marvelous vacation with her husband in Hawaii. A true gem to her family and a pillar within her community, she will forever be remembered.

A Memorial Visitation for Jeaneanne will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service beginning at 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Pastor Randy Harrison will be officiating.
