Cleda M. McKiddy

Cleda is the loving wife to the late Luster McKiddy; mother to Doug (Teresa) McKiddy, Janice (Ricardo Avila) McKiddy, Rebecca (Nick) Bachan, the late Linda Joyce McKiddy, the late Tommy McKiddy and the late Stevie Brooks; proud grandmother to 19; and proud great-grandmother to 22; great-great grandmother to many; cherished sister to the late Beulah Greer, the late Aileen Smith and the late Coolige Brooks; loving aunt to many.

She and her husband were faithful members of Black Oak Baptist Church for over 65 years. At her church, she was a Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher and worked caringly in the nursery. She and her husband, Luster, were compassionate and generously donated their time and talent to their church and community.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral at 11:00 am at Black Oak Baptist Church, 6502 25th Street, Gary, IN 46408. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
