Santo Pratico

Born on August 5, 1938, to Angela and Antonio Pratico, who predeceased him, he grew up in Greenwich, Ct.

He excelled in high school, and was a cum laude graduate of Iona College, where he received the Mathematics Medal and a Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics. Additionally, he was awarded a Master's Degree from Fordham University. He worked as a systems analyst for IBM until his retirement.

Santo was a very active member of the Elks for 35 years, where he served as chairman of the trustees, editor of their newsletter, and was selected Elk of the Year.

Santo was married to the love of his life, Elizabeth Gisonde Pratico, for 49 years. They shared a beautiful life together in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, and enjoyed traveling to their vacation home in Aruba. He spent many hours enjoying their dog, Chico.

Santo’s legacy is that he was a kind, gentle, generous gentleman.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Liz), his brother-in-law and sister-in- law, James and Kathi Gisonde, his adoring nephew, Matthew Gisonde, his wife, Kristina and their children, August, Vivienne Elizabeth, and Gjovana, his loving niece, Jamie Gisonde Carmichael, her husband, Brian and their son, Owen. He leaves behind several family members, and a multitude of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Good Shepherd Chapel, 59 Benedict Blvd., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am following the Visitation also at the Good Shepherd Chapel. Entombment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
