Born in Dorchester, MA, he grew up in Cambridge, MA, while visiting often with his mother’s family in Chatham (Miramichi), NB, Canada. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966, and later worked as an agent for the United States Department of Treasury. He enjoyed hockey, history, and researching genealogy.
He lived in Malden, MA, where he raised his own family, moving to New York City after his retirement to be near his son.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Florence (Daley) Provost, his wife Barbara (Cook), and his wife Carol (Killackey), as well as his brother, Louis Joseph, and sister Barbara Jeanette.
He is survived by his son Andrew (Melissa) Provost and his beloved grandsons Aidan and Cameron. He also enjoyed many dear cousins, as well as nieces and nephews.
Bob will be celebrated with a memorial this summer in New Brunswick.
