He was born on July 25, 1925 in Spring Hill and passed on November 1, 2018 at Bellaire at Devonshire Memory Care in Scott Depot.
He was a PVT in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Whittier, Alaska during WWII. He was an assistant Scoutmaster and a Scoutmaster for the Boys Scouts of America and provided leadership to develop young boys into young men in Kanawha and Putnam counties. He was a avid hunter, fisherman, and was a member of St. Johns Methodist Church until his illness when he could no longer attend. Most importantly he was a caring and loving Father.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Beatrice Mae Pauley; son, Terry Michael Pauley; parents, Claude and Suda Pauley (nee Eskew); sisters, Murl Harris, Leigh Hinzman, Louise, Helen and Gladys Pauley; and brothers, Norman and Eugene Pauley.
Left to cherish his memory are brother, Glen Pauley and his children; daughter, Karen Sanney; sons, Calvin, Ronald and Mark (Wendy) Pauley; grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Jessica and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Haley, Philip Michael, Aidan, Asher, and Ella.
A private family graveside service will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 with Bishop Gordon Ford officiating at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
