

Mary Frances (Cross) McClure, 93, of St. Albans, went to her Heavenly home while at Broadmore Assisted Living Facility on January 2, 2015. She was born March 28, 1921 in Yawkey to Samuel and Ara Oda Toothman Cross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Clyde D. McClure and son, Stephen D. McClure. She was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Albans for 70 years. Her family always came first and she will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by them and everyone that knew her. Mary is survived by son, Edwin K. (Julie) McClure of Tornado; daughters, Vera E.(Bill) Grimsley of Winfield and Debra K. (Jim) Payne of Scott Depot; grandchildren, Kerry McClure and Kelly (McClure) Ordonio of Dublin, OH, Michelle (Grimsley) Tallman of Hudson, OH, Melanie (Grimsley) Rumer of Scott Depot, Jennifer (Grimsley) Hoffman of Scott Depot, Matthew McClure of Hurricane, Shaun McClure of Scott Depot and Brandon Payne of Barboursville; and great-grandchildren, Keely and Cayden McClure; Keira and Sophie Ordonio; Nick, Ian and Parker Tallman; Savannah, Carson and Delaney Rumer; Baylie, Allison and Jordan Hoffman; Kiki and Anthony Hammack-McClure; and Hadley McClure; and special sisters-in-law, Betty Ashworth of Winfield and Mary Jane Arvidson of Brownsville, Vermont. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2014 at First Baptist Church of St. Albans with Pastor Joel Harpold officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2014 in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. The family would like to thank the staff at Broadmore Senior Living for their compassion and care during Mary’s time there.
