He is survived by his sister Edna Cain (Bob) daughters Deborah Pauley (John), Cynthia Moore (Bobby), Grandchildren Angela Tracy, Jonathan Pauley, Jennifer Boyd, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Jones, son Brian Jones, sisters Betty Haynes and Alice Dunlap, and parents Smith and Wilma Jones.

Carl was born in Roane County, WV and graduated from Sissonville High School in 1951. After graduating, he served in the United States Air Force until 1955. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and a long haul truck driver for over 50 years with Ryder Trucks, Bell Lines, and Smith Transfer.

The family would like to extend special thanks to his companion Diana Osborne for all her love and kindness.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home. Military Rites will be conducted by St Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.

Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Carl loved dogs so in lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association Animal Shelter, 1248 Greenbrier Street, Charleston WV 25311
