Diane Reed

Born December 31, 1941 in Peoria to William and Lula Mae (Sandall) Moyer, Sr., she married Alonzo “Lonnie” Gann in 1957. He died in May 1976.

They had two sons and one daughter. Bradley B. Gann preceded her in death in July 1978, Brett T. (Becky) Gann of Washington and Lisa (Bret Kingdon) Gann of Germantown Hills.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, Reece (Stephanie) Kiefner of Germantown Hills, Brett Gann, Jr. of Madison, Wisconsin, Sadie Gann of Bartonville, Sydney (Phil Henrickson) Gann of Madison, Wisconsin, Nicole (DeAaron Williams) Brabson and Kristi (Zac Frank) Brabson, both of East Peoria; four great-grandchildren, Alonzo “Zo” Kiefner, Nick Gomez, Michael Pearce, Jr. and Camdyn Frank; five nephews and one niece.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Smith; two sisters, Marlene Davis and Sharon Buchanan and one brother, William Moyer.

Diane later married Kenneth C. Reed in May 1980. He preceded her in death.

Also surviving is her adjoining family, Deanna (Brian) Foreman, Kenneth Reed, Jr. and granddaughter, Jolie Foreman, all of Riverton.

Diane loved her visits and stories with all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardens and was an avid reader.

She had worked as a Beautician, Secretary and was co-owner of At Your Service in Florida. She was a very proud political advocate.

A gathering celebrating Diane’s life will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Kouris in Germantown Hills.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
