Bonnie Lee Burkett

Bonnie Blevins Burkett passed away peacefully at home on September 4, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 23, 1943, in Ennis, Montana, to Thomas W. Blevins and Freddie M. White Blevins.

Bonnie met the love of her life, Dave Burkett, and they were married on July 5, 1977. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and adventure.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Freddie Blevins, her sisters Uldene and Alice, and her brother Fred. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dave Burkett, her children Doug (Deddy) McIntyre and Terri (Pat) Cozzens, and her grandchildren Tyrel, Zane, Janice (Brice), Sari (James), Brandon (Marci), and Ethan (Mercedes). Bonnie also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride.

Bonnie’s passion for ranching, horseback riding, and the simple beauty of the outdoors defined her life. She cherished the freedom of being on horseback and spent countless hours enjoying drives to see wild horses. Her adventurous spirit also led her to travel and explore new places, always with a deep appreciation for the world around her.

Bonnie’s family and friends will forever remember her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for those close to her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
