So sorry to hear about this. Was wanting to contact her because my sister Regina passed this April. Then through another childhood friend heard this.  So sad, they were too young to be gone. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

Bob, Nicole, Michelle, Robert and family, words cannot express my sorrow upon hearing of Sue's passing. You all have my deepest sympathy and you are in my prayers now at this time and always. I feel blessed that God allowed me to know and be in the company of such a beautiful, sweet angel. Sue always had a smile and was a joy to talk to. She and I became 1st time grandmother's a month apart almost 15 years ago. We loved sharing our grandchildren's stories. Whenever we had a chance to visit while y'all visited Patrice, she always exuded such peace and joy. I will always remember the last time I was in her company, she shared an LSU gymnastics ticket with me and we sat next to each other. She stated " I am so happy and grateful to be able to witness history" when LSU women set a team high score against Arkansas. I am grateful that God through all his infinite wisdom allowed me to be with Sue. Again, y'all are forever in my thoughts  prayers.

My prayers and thoughts are with your family. Taken too soon but loved forever. What a very sweet lady. God be with your family through this difficult time.

You will certainly be missed Ms. Sue. I love the memories of working with you at West Jefferson Hospital, it was a pleasure to see your smiling face, day after day.
Praying for your entire family during this most difficult time. May you rest in God’s loving arms for all eternity.

Remembering Susan Brierre

There was never a visit to Sue’s home that you didn’t come away feeling well feed or loved.  Her smiling face greeting you as she stood behind the island  near her stove.  Of course, the table would be set for way more people than you’d have expected because there was always, always more food than 10 families could eat.  Her gracious manor explaining that the food was nothing, just an expression of joy and love she always showed for those visiting her home.

And the visit would not be a true visit until she made time to ask you about you and your family.  Sharing stories of family with her was her way of saying that’s how parents roll.  Enjoying the children and grand children was her purpose in life.  Sharing it with her friends was the gift you had the privilege of receiving.

One of the things you didn’t get from Sue was a complaint. Of course, there were trials and challenges, but seldom did it get expressed as a problem – not from Sue.  You’d hear the love and feel the tenderness in her voice every time you had a conversation.  If you think about it, you never left her presents feeling anything but happy and well fed. Even though she was a diabetic she never ever let you know it was a problem.  Just a small hill she had climbed and on to better things.  

What Sue meant to her family is shadowed by the love showed to every person who had the privilege of sharing her smile and gentle demeanor.  Honored and loved by her family and friends, we all know that if there is a heaven for angles she’s already there asking if anyone is hungry. 

God Blessed us with Susan and now he’s taking time to enjoy one of his better creations.

I am sooooo very sorry to hear of Mrs. Sue's passing. I had the privilege of working with her at West Jeff and there was no one better than her. She was dedicated to family, friends and life all around. She was a gem. Forever in my prayers, Mrs. Sue. Prayer and condolences 🙏  Jill

I was so sadden to hear about Mrs.  Sue passing. She was definitely the sweetest and will be missed!!! Sending prayers and tight hugs to the family.

Bob, Nicole, Michelle, Robert and families.  My heart is aching  for all of you.  There are no words I know of that can help ease your hurt at this time.  Know that Sue has left us way too soon.  She may be gone, but she isn't forgotten.  I will cherish the memories that I got to make with Sue and the rest of you folks.  Your house was my first stop when I came in from New Iberia on the weekends from work.  Sue always made me feel like part of the family and included me in rood trips and vacations.  These times meant more than words can convey.  She was such a sweet and gentle soul whom I loved and cherished a great deal.  Thanks to all of you for sharing Sue with all of us.  Know that if you folks need anything I am only a phone call away.  I am praying to our Lord and Savior that he gives you all the strength you will need to get thru the tough days ahead.
