Robert “Bob” Frank Geosits, age 70, of Mandeville, LA, previously of Houston, TX and New York, NY, passed away on Friday December 10, 2021. He was born on June 12, 1951 in New York, NY to Frank and Mary (Nemeth) Geosits.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Janet Laura (Pomposello) Geosits; his son Robert Scott Geosits and his wife, Lauryn; and four grandchildren Preston, Chelsea, Felicity, and Emmett .
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Geosits and brother, John Geosits.
Robert was a devout catholic who was married to his wife, Janet Geosits for 49 years. He graduated from CCNY with high honors where he achieved his Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. Robert was recruited after college by Bechtel where he continued to work until retirement in 2010. At his time at Bechtel he worked and created several patents and created designs for power plants worldwide. Robert battled with Parkinson's disease for many years even while continuing to work. He never complained. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching football, and games that challenged his mind.
A wake will be held at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433, on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Visitation will resume at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St., Mandeville, LA 70448 on Friday at 10:30 AM. Followed by Mass celebrated by Fr. Mark Lomax, at 12 Noon.
Interment will take place on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
