Richard was born on September 19, 1952 to Claire Marie Tabary, of New Orleans, and John Joseph Chabreck Jr., of Lacombe. Richard dedicated his life to Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Lacombe where he served as a Deacon and taught men’s bible study for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Timothy for over 13 years.
In 1975, he founded Chabreck Water Well and established a generational business through his oldest son. After he retired, he continued to do pump and service work for several years.
Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed being a member of multiple hunting clubs. He made many close friends through his service to the church and community and often met a great group for coffee at Alice’s in Lacombe. He loved the Lord, his family, and his friends to the fullest and with a true servant’s heart.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Richard’s life on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at St. Timothy on the North Shore, 335 Asbury Dr. Mandeville, La 70471. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. with a memorial service at 6 p.m, followed by a reception in the gym.
