Born in Los Angeles, CA on January 13, 1934, Bonnie grew up in Central California and earned her college degree as an Elementary School Teacher. She married William (Bill) Arneson in 1954, had two children, and they immigrated to Courtenay, B.C. in 1969. Bonnie taught school throughout her life and loved being a Mom and Homemaker. Sadly, Bill passed away in 1981.
Bonnie then met and married John King, and they spent the past 33 years together working, gardening (Bonnie LOVED her flower garden), helping others, long walks on the beach, with camping and fishing at Strathcona National Park being their absolute favorite pastime. Bonnie was passionate about her faith in God, her church family, and the good works she could do for others. She will be especially remembered for her warm and welcoming smiles, her fabulous home-cooked meals, and her great hugs!
Predeceased by her first husband, William (Bill) Arneson in 1981.
Survived by her daughter, Karen (Arneson) Henderson; her son, Kris Arneson; her grandchildren, Kyle & Morgan Henderson, and Daniel, Orlena and Jodie Arneson; her loving and caring husband, John King; and her stepchildren, Jason King and Lisa (King) Richardson.
