I grew up  with Bob in the same neighborhood  back in Rice Lake Wis. I have many fond memories of the wild and crazy  times we spent together back then. I was very happy that Bob and his two daughters came to Green Bay for a Packer game and we had a few hours to spend together as I showed them around this part of Wisconsin.  Please accept my heartfelt and sincere condolences.

When I was 12 years old I was in the hospital for two weeks for back surgery. I remember Uncle Bob coming to visit me. He knew that I loved Snoopy  and gave me a little wind up Snoopy. He told me I was his favorite and not to tell the others. Although I’ve heard that he told others the same, he really made me believe that I was. 
I also remember Uncle Bob (and Aunt Florence) taking me to Knotts Berry Farm. Uncle Bob bought me my first corn dog. I was an extremely picky eater, but somehow he got me to try something new and I loved it!
He was a quiet man at times, but when he spoke he knew so much. He cared about others and was welcoming to each new member of our family (spouses and friends). 
I will miss him and am thankful to have been his niece. xo

I remember on one our trips out to see the family,  Bob and I made bread together from his starter dough. 
 We talked for hours and I was fortunate to really got to know  a whole other side of this kind and loving man. Bernie and I will forever miss you, Bob!!!
