Eugene Martin Brown

Gene was married to his wife, Louise Brown for 69 years and was devoted to her until his last breath. They had 5 children: Nancy Lambertsen (Brian), Sharon Brown, Marcia Brown, Gary Brown (Pam) and Linda Hudgins (Todd) and 7 grandchildren: Casey Caprioglio (Alex), Kevin Caprioglio, Max Brown, Benjamin Brown, Emily Brown, Samantha Hudgins and Jessica Hudgins. Gene loved his family and friends more than anything. He didn’t have to tell you he loved you, he showed you by his support and kindness and the smile on his face when he saw you. His love was unconditional towards everyone.

Gene graduated from USC Dental School and was a proud Trojan to the end. He had his dental practice for 50 years in Buena Park. He was very involved in the Orange County Dental Society (serving as President from 1970-1971) and the California Dental Association (serving as President from 1990-1991). He wanted to improve the world of dentistry and was so dedicated to the field.

In his retirement, Gene continued to learn through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Cal State University, Fullerton. He enjoyed exploring new topics, and even taught several classes himself.

He kept his sense of humor to the end.

Most of his family gathered around him in his final hours to celebrate his life and to spend his final hours surrounded by laughter and tears as his family recounted their favorite memories with him.

He was loved by all who knew him.

He will be missed.
