Carla V. Graham, age 58, loving sister, aunt, friend and colleague was unexpectedly taken from us on June 5, 2019, at her home in Huntington Beach, California.
Carla always took care of the people around, making sure that everyone around her felt comfortable and welcome. She was a kind person, with a great sense of fun and a smile that warmed the hearts of everyone who saw it. Through her kind heart and dedication to helping others, Carla inspired everyone around her. Spreading her laughter to friends, patients and others wherever she went. While her life was shortened, the good memories she left us will last forever and bringing smiles to our faces whenever we think of her.
Carla was passionate about helping and communicating with people. She helped her patients and took good care of them when she worked at the hospital, and for friends, whenever they needed help, she was always there for them. As one of her co-worker Pamela Emmons words on the SMC newsletter says “I’m in awe of you Carla, not only are you an RN with all your medical education & experience, but you manage a diverse group of people with the ability to understand and respect our uniqueness. You have the patience of a Saint and so I nickname you St. Carla.”
The mold was broken when CARLA arrived. She was one of a kind, a survivor and a faithful, caring friend, sister, and aunt.
