Ruth Adkins

She and her husband, Bill were the owners and operators of Adkins Speedway in Port Washington for many years.

Ruth was a member of the Victory Assembly of God Church in Newcomerstown where she taught Sunday School for many years, was a Principle at the Church and was a longtime volunteer at Journeys End. She and Bill loved spending time remodeling their mansion in Port Washington. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Adkins; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Bill Gene Adkins, who passed away on January 18, 2022; her three children, Tony, Kyle and Cheryl and 18 siblings.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Duane Mourer officiating. Burial will take place at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
