Bishop Christopher Davis

Bishop Christopher Davis, Sr., departed this life on August 6, 2014 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was born on September 1, 1936 in Marion, Alabama as the fourth child of seven to the late Presiding Elder Noble Davis, Sr. and Mother Mary Frances (England) Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Advanced Senior Mother Melba Davis, three children, Brother Christopher (Kim Yvette) Davis, Sister Jewel E. Davis-Bledsoe and Sister Leslie I. Davis, four siblings, Advanced Presiding Elder Noble (Advanced Senior Mother Castorlania) Davis of Loveland, Ohio, Mr. Stephen Davis of Hubbard, Ohio, Sister Mary Sallie (Deacon Curtis) Rutledge of Akron, Ohio and Mother Mary Frances (Honorary Senior Deacon Henry) McCraney of Hubbard, Ohio, two brothers-in-law, Honorary Senior Deacon Obed Hines and Brother Reuben Hines, six grandchildren, Kristina Alexandria, Kiera Janee’ and Christian James Davis, Dexter Alexander and Diamond Amber Bledsoe, Breonna Nicole Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.

Bishop Davis was preceded in death by his loving parents and three siblings, Mr. Louis Davis, Mr. Charles Davis and Ms. Lizzie M. Snow.

His memorial service will be at The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, 25646 Township Rd 39, Coshocton, Ohio 43812, on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends from 9:45AM to 10:45AM on Saturday.
