Arline Delores Scott

After graduating from Roscoe High School in 1941, she worked for the Pentagon when it first opened in 1942. Arline then worked for the Coshocton Tribune as a proof reader and teletypesetter, then worked for Edmont- Wilson, retiring from there in 1979; then worked for American Furniture in Albuquerque New Mexico.

Arline was married to James R. Silverthorn from 1943-1956, then Charles Griggs in 1975, then she married Drexel Scott in 1994, who preceded her in death in 2005.

She was a life member of Central Christian Church of Coshocton. She enjoyed traveling, going to the Senior Center and volunteering as a Pink Lady at the Coshocton Hospital for many years.

Arline is survived by her son, James M. Silverthorn of Providence, Rhode Island and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Arline is preceded in death by her three sisters, Laura Silverthorn, Thelma Knapp and Marjorie Clark and two brothers, George and Donald Howe.

A private Funeral Service will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home with Reverend Phil Hunt officiating. Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, social distancing measures will be in place. We also ask that you please wear a face mask at all times for the health and safety of our guests and employees.

A private burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
