Robert Harry “Bob” Hollinger, 85, passed away January 12, 2016. He was born on February 21, 1930 to Robert Henry Hollinger and Anna Bell Brooks in Wichita Falls, Texas. He enlisted and served in The United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service during the Korean Conflict. He met and married the love of his life, Charlotte Anne Cassidy who preceded him in death.
After having retired as a certified Ford Mechanic working at George Jones. Lewis Boggus and Charlie Thomas Ford, he later retired as a Boat Captain having captained several offshore fishing yachts. Bob's hobbies included watching University of Texas Longhorns football, barbecuing, hunting and fishing especially offshore.
Bob is survived by his son, Mike Hollinger; daughter-in-Law, Sandi; granddaughter, Kristen Hollinger and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
