Petra V. Sanchez

She was born on May 10, 1932 in Dolores, Texas. She retired from CCISD after 30 years as a custodian. She was the daughter of Pedro Vigil and Petra Castaneda Vigil. She had seven daughters: Mary Vigil (Mayo) from Avondale, AZ, Hilda Alaniz deceased (Arturo) deceased, Cynthia Torrez (Domingo) from Fallon, NV, Diana Sanchez (Robert) from Odem, TX, Elizabeth Sanchez, from Corpus Christi, TX, Belinda Ramirez (Gilbert) from Corpus Christi, TX, Geneva Davidson (Charles) from San Antonio, TX.

She also raised two grandchildren, Celeste Labelle (Tony) from Round Rock, TX, Steven (Roman) Ledesma from Chicago, IL. She was one of twelve children, leaving one remaining brother, Francisco Vigil from Corpus Christi, TX. She had seventeen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Our mother will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 starting at 8:30 a.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
