Tillie was born on August 10, 1934 in Knickerbocker,TX. to Ascension and Teresa Soto. She eventually moved to San Angelo, TX, where she lived for many years and married William G Rogers. They had 3 children together, and in 1985 moved to Corpus Christi TX. In 2001 she was remarried to Walter "Red" Daniel, with whom she lived out the rest of her golden years.
Tillie worked for MHMR for many years and loved helping the mentally disabled thrive in their workplace. She really enjoyed getting dressed up and going out to dances with her husband and friends. One of her most favorite things to do was to travel. Tillie and Red went on many amazing trips and she always had the best stories when she returned. She was a woman of faith and very fond of Gospel music. If she was home you could usually find her listening to it all throughout the day. She absolutely loved helping her church and the school community in Refugio. TX. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were definitely very near and dear to her heart and in the last year and a half she moved to be closer to them. In the last couple of months, whenever she wasn't feeling well, her great-grandchildren's prayers and kisses carried her through. She was blessed with so many friends and family and really lived her life to the fullest. She was at peace when she finally departed to her permanent Kingdom in Heaven and we miss her so much already.
The family would like to give a most sincere thank you to her caregivers that were always going above and beyond for her, especially Dixie, Michelle and Brenda who were with her most of the time; she loved you all very much.
