Oralia Hinojosa- beloved wife, mother and cherished friend to many passed away at age 82 on November 23rd, 2023 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Oralia was born to proud parents Calistro and Francisco Guzman on May 2nd, 1942 in Sabinas Hidalgo, Mexico.
Oralia married the love of her life, George Hinojosa, who she spent the rest of her life with. Oralia and George were inseparable; she was his absolute pride and joy.
Oralia was known to be a talented upholsterer and had owned her own business all while raising 9 children. She was a dedicated wife and mother which her children will always be grateful for.
Oralia will always be remembered for being an amazing mother, devoted wife and for her beautiful voice. She was a woman of courage who was able to be a success at whatever she aimed for.
Through Oralia’s strong faith she has been reunited with her parents, Calistro and Francisco Guzman; sister, Dia Mantina Garcia; brothers, Mauro Guzman, Lupe Guzman, Lalo Guzman, Jose Angel Guzman, Calixtro Guzman Jr., and her first granddaughter, Jennifer Rocha.
Left to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy is her devoted husband, George Hinojosa; children, Oralia Jimenez, Rogelio Jimenez, Sylvia, Robert Jr., Rene, Rolando, Ricardo Rocha (Belinda), Ruben, Roel Rocha (Christina); brother, Saul Guzman; 19 grandchildren and 26 grandchildren.
A public visitation for Oralia will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will occur Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 7:00 PM, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. An interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
