Norma Jean Cantu

Norma Jean Rodriguez Cantu of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away January 27, 2020. She was born in Corpus Christi on September 19, 1967. She was happily married to her loving husband, Carlos Cantu Sr., for 33 years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Everyone who knew Norma knew that she was the life of every party. She will be remembered for being an avid fan of rock ‘n’ roll music. Beyond all else, Norma loved her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Norma leaves her fond memories with her loving husband, Carlos Cantu Sr.; her sons, Carlos (Valerie) Cantu Jr., Mark (Vanessa Marie) Cantu, and Joseph Cantu; her grandchildren, Carlos III, Benjamin, Emma, Julie, Averie, and Lilith Cantu; her mother, Ofelia Rodriguez; her brothers and sisters, Eusebio (Liza) Rodriguez Jr., Lorenzo (Maria) Rodriguez, Rosalinda (Victor M.) Rodriguez, Mary (Keno T.) Rodriguez, Leticia (Roland) Velasquez, and Priscilla Rodriguez Galvan; and her many nieces and nephews that she loved with all her heart.

Family will receive friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5 pm to 9 pm. A holy rosary will be recited at 7 pm that same evening.

Funeral Services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
