Mary E. Oberle

Mary Elizabeth Oberle of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on June 29, 2022 at age 83 and will be missed as our Beloved Sister and Aunt. Mary was born in Mankato, Minnesota on Nov 18, 1938 to Joseph and Rose Oberle, then moved with the family to Corpus Christi in 1950.

Mary received her degree from Corpus Christi State University and taught elementary school level at Christ the King Catholic Church where her family were church members throughout their Texas life. She also taught at West Oso. Mary then received her nursing degree from Del Mar College and cared for patients at Spohn Hospital until her retirement. Over the years Mary loved her many dogs, enjoyed movies with friends, enjoyed family vacations with her siblings and family and was much loved by all her nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her Parents; her sister, Teresa, her sister, Audrey Hilgert and husband Frederick, and by her brother, Ronald Oberle.

Mary is survived by her sister, Carole Brown, and her children, Sheryl and her husband Skip Shimer, and Stephen Brown and his wife Donna, and sons Tyler and Austin; by her brother Ron's wife, Barbara Oberle and their children, Teresa Miller and Matthew, Mark, Kathy and Joel Oberle, and by her sister Audrey’s children, Dana Rangel, Frederick Hilgert II and Adrienne Wong.

A Funeral Mass for Mary Oberle will be held at Christ the King Church in Corpus Christi on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 9:30 am with subsequent inurnment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
