He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 28, 1941.
He was married to his loving wife, Maria Aurora Leal on October 14, 1962.
Martin was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He received his GED, worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years and was a reserved police officer for the Corpus Christi Police Department for 5 years.
Martin was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and had a passion for karaoke, singing with family and loved motorcycles. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family, enjoyed a cold beer with his brother in laws, and enjoyed dancing with his sister in laws and nieces. Martin was loved dearly by all his extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Martin G. Leal Sr. (Lupe); mother, Paula Prieto (Juan); brother, Andres Leal and sister, Beatrice Johnson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories and is survived by his wife, Maria Aurora Leal; children, Elsa (Albert), Martin (Jennifer), Gerardo (Laurie) and Gabriel (Lori); grandchildren, Mason, Sage, Presley, Sydney, Nathan and Avery; step grandchildren, Albert David, Annalisa, Ashton (Devin) and Courtney; step great grandchildren, Hayden, Nash and Hayes; siblings, Maria Elena (Nick), Bobby (Maggie), Linda (Eustolio), Sostenes (Karen) and his cousin, Albert who he loved like a brother
Pallbearers will be Sage Leal, Albert David Garza, Mason Leal, Presley Leal, Carlos Pena and Jaime Pena.
In addition to flowers, the family would appreciate donations to go to the Alzheimer’s Association and The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Corpus Christi
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
