Maria L. Rosales

In 1948, Maria married Feliciano Rosales in Brownsville, Texas. Maria and Feliciano went on to have seven children: Ofelia (Frank) Eguia, Gloria (Roberto) Zamora, Oscar Rosales, Olga (Erasmo) Rios, Ruben (Felipa) Rosales, Elisa ( Rene) Martinez, and Mauricio (Diana) Rosales.

She has 16 grandchildren: Candida Marie, Frank Jr., John Daniel Sr., Robert Ruben, Jeanette, Erasmo Jr., Yvonne, Ariel Nicole, Ruben Jr., Belinda, Martin, Monica, David Jr., Krystal, Rene III, and Marcus Mauricio, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Maria was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a private and quiet person, but also witty and fun! She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, singing, gambling, and talking about her childhood memories. She could out eat anyone eating hot salsa.

Maria was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Feliciano Rosales, and her son, Oscar Rosales. Maria is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The Rosales Family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Sabas Cavazos for his unconditional love and attention for our mother during her time at the Corpus Christi Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

Maria impacted so many lives and touched the lives of those who had the opportunity to spend time with her these last five years at the nursing facility. She will be greatly missed.

A public visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, with a holy rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with an interment to follow Memory Gardens Cemetery.
