She retired from Corpus Christi Independent School District where she worked as a para-professional.
She is survived by her husband, Jose I. Garza, Sr.; children, Jose I. Garza, Jr. (Annette), Marco A. Garza (Audrey), Luis A. Garza (Pam); siblings, Baltazar Garcia, Jr. (Olga), Alama Custer, Delia Morin (Arturo) and her grandchildren, Heather, Monica, Kristina and Luis, Jr.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
