Margarett Perez, age 67, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, October 3, 2021. She succumbed to an 11-year battle with cancer. Margarett was born January 30, 1954 to Albert P. and Theresa Perez.
Margarett graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1972 where she was a member of Pan American and Journalism clubs. She also attended Del Mar College. She retired from Corpus Christi Public Libraries in 2019 after 43 years of service. She attended Church Unlimited for 20 years and continued faithfully attending online services until her long-awaited homecoming with her Lord and Savior.
Margarett is preceded in death by her parents, Theresa Lozano and Albert P. Perez.
She is survived by her siblings, Albert M. Perez (Anna), Margott Perez Colmenero, Marc Allen Perez (Debra) and Marjorie Carla Perez Garcia (Jose) and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Funeraria del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas with Chapel Service at 10:00 am. followed by Interment at 11:30 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas.
