Juanita G Garcia Ortiz

Juanita G. Oritz, 95 of Corpus Christi, passed away on October 21, 2017. She was born in Corpus Christi, TX on February 28, 1922 to Lino and Porfiria Garcia. She was married to Rafael S. Ortiz Sr. for 67 beautiful years. Juanita was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and had a passion for her children, grandchildren and all her family. She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboy’s play and her favorite pastime was working in her flower beds. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Rafael S. Ortiz Sr.; one brother; two sisters; and one great grandson, Luke Williams. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Rey (Elda) Ortiz, Ruben (Ellie) Ortiz, Rafael Ortiz Jr., Alicia (Ralph) Cantu, Amalia Williams; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
