Jose B. Guajardo Jr.

He was born on December 26, 1934, in San Diego, Texas to Jose C. Guajardo, Sr. and Ramona Briones Guajardo. He married his wife, Elma Flores Guajardo in July 1954.

Jose worked as a professional truck driver. He worked for Texas Star Oil Company and Oil Patch among other companies. He was a member of Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. He had a passion for horses and the ranch life.

Jose was preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Lucio, Bernardo, Enrique, Ramon and Carlos Guajardo; sisters, Martha Dominguez, Maria Perez, and Virginia Garcia.

He is survived by his wife, Elma Guajardo; children, Irma Gonzalez and Delia Guajardo, Jose (Corina) Guajardo, Rosie Saavedra, Irene (Larry) Ochoa, Maria Guajardo, Patricia Guajardo, Ernestina Guajardo and Linda Guajardo; brother, Guadalupe Guajardo; sisters, Emilia Aleman and Belia Lewis; 13 grandchildren; 15, great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 23, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service and Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, February 24, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Pilar, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens.
