Jose was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. His favorite pastime was spent watching old western movies with a good beer to unwind. He was always fond of his time spent hunting with his dad in his younger days. He also had a love for hot rod and classical cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan I. and Estella Estrada; daughter, Betty Jean Estrada; and his brother, Maximo Estrada.
Jose is survived by his children, Michael A. Estrada Sr. (Michele), Erika Castillo; his grandchildren, Beverly Ann Estrada (Randy), Crystal McGrath (Samuel), Michael A. Estrada Jr., Marissa Pulido (Juan), Cristian Tobon, Andrew Tobon, McKenzie Estrada, Athena Garcia, Evangeline Garcia, Milani Gonzalez; great grandchildren, Desiree Garza, Micah Garcia, Brandi Almeida, Jax McGrath, Sadie Almeida, Quinn McGrath, Milani Estrada, Leilani Pulido, Athena Tobon, Adelina Tobon, Samuel McGrath; and his siblings, William Estrada (Frances), Eliza V. Estrada, Gloria Ball (Joe Luna); and Mario Estrada (Gracie); He also leaves a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will occur at 1:30 PM. A funeral service will will follow at 2:00 PM. A committal service will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
