Jesusa Vargas

Jesusa was a happy, loving, and caring mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, music, dancing, going to the casinos, and drinking her favorite pina coladas. However, most of all she cherished those moments among family.

Her husband of 50 years, Alfonso O. Vargas precedes her in death along with her sons; Daniel Vargas Sr., Juan Vargas; her daughters, Maricela Vargas, Cynthia Vargas; her parents, Jesus and Dometila Gutierrez; siblings, Roberto, Juan Manuel, Jose Luis, and Rosa Gutierrez.

She leaves those behind to cherish her memory her companion, Jose Garcia; her three daughters, Esmeralda (Genaro) Munguia, Mary Jane (Noe) Buentello, Rosie Vargas (Mike); her two sons, Jesus Alfonso (Cynthia), Abel (Deidra) Vargas; numerous brothers and one sister; seventeen grandchildren, Twenty-seven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; several godsons and goddaughters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 12:00pm to 4:00 p.m. with a service at 3:00p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Cheyenne, 549 Cheyenne St, Corpus Christi, TX 78405.

Reception will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Ayers Event Center, 3433 Ayers St, Corpus Christi, Texas from 5p.m. to 8:p.m.
