Jesus Lara Rivera

He worked in the deli/market at HEB Grocery Company for more than 40 years. Jesus had a passion for sports, with his favorite teams being the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys. He also was interested in traveling and seeing new sights. He also loved his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Timotea Rivera; sister, Mary Helen Rivera and nephew John Rivera.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Robert) Garcia; son, Jesse Rivera; two grandchildren, Kara Anastos and Mara Garcia; girlfriend, Robin Rodriguez; brothers, Frank, Juan (Pam) and David (Shirley) Rivera; sisters, Christina (George) Gonzalez and Mary Luisa (Richard) Garza; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he all loved dearly.

Public viewing will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, August 25, 2022 beginning at 5:00 pm with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
