If this is visible from heaven, this is a note for my Mom. 

  Hey Mom,

 It's been 5 years now and we are all doing good. I made lead at work and Cristina's food truck is doing great. Gabby did outstanding on her 3rd grade Starr test and was at a 4th grade level. She started 4th grade this year and is going to be in choir. Lilly is in 3rd grade now and is doing really well in school. She can read, write and enjoys reading like you used to. Lilly will be in dance this year which is a very bold move for her because she is shy most of the time. Dad is doing good, he finally found a lady that I think is making him feel better and is really sweet to him. I remember you told me that you wanted me to accept him if he ever did move on and to be good to him always. We miss you a ton and keep your memory alive. We still talk about you and the things you used to say everytime we are together for dinner in our home or when you come to mind. I hope your spirit is still alive and thriving somewhere out there in the cosmos. If you can, please come visit me in my dreams so I can give you a big hug.

I would like to share some special memories of the special times that I enjoyed with my sister-in-law, Irma.  Irma was a kind and loving person.  I remember all the times that I would drive to Corpus to visit and how she opened up her home to me.  She was the type of person who made you feel comfortable the minute you stepped into her home.  I remember her beautiful smile and her willingness to enjoy life to the fullest even though she wasn't always feeling very well.  We spent many wonderful times together, whether it was on the beach, shopping or out to eat; we had a blast!  She was so cool to hang around with and we got along really well.  I remember late at night, she'd turn the lights off and we would watch scary movies on tv.  We always had good snacks, like popcorn & candy.  Gosh!  I would do anything to have those times again!  She is greatly missed and it's so sad that our earth angel was taken, no one will ever replace her!  

Another thing that I want to mention is that she was my sister-in-law, but to me, she was like a sister.  I even remember when I went with Roland as a chaperone to Cole Park when I was a teenager and he was with Irma back in the day.  I remember how I thought that she was so beautiful and looking like a goddess.  That is one memory that will never fade away.

As we became adults and mature, I'll always remember how I could trust her and tell her personal things about myself, because I knew that it wouldn't go any further.  Irma was someone that I trusted and loved!  I treasured every gift she gave me, sometimes she'd be wearing a necklace and I'd say, "I love your necklace," and then later, she'd have a gift for me and it would be the same necklace that I complimented her on.  She was such a giving person!

I also want to comment on what a wonderful cook she was.  She made the best chili that I've ever tasted!  Just about anything she cooked was delicious.  Her Mexican food was the best!

Irma and Roland were my neighbors for over 10 years.
Irma was always so sweet and kind an amazing mother and friend.
She helped me and my children thru some hard times.
She raised amazing children.
She is truly loved and will be greatly missed.

Until one great day when I will see her in heaven.

I write this as I sit in my Moms comfy recliner with my 4 year old Gabby and my 3 year old Lilly. The world just seems a little different with out her here. She was the most uplifting person in my life even in her sickest times.
 
The Lord has his ways with the way things work out sometimes. When my family and I were going through hard times my Mom & Dad welcomed us in their home with open arms. For a year and a half my Mom got to really enjoy my girls and them her. I was so hard on myself for where I was in life and never realized that it was God's plan for me to be with my parents. We enjoyed lots of wonderful times before I was picked by SpaceX and had to move away to Temple Texas. She was very proud of me and even got to see the home we purchased as well as the facility I work at before she left us. 
 
I will forever miss her and her positive attitude. Now it's my turn to take that positivity and pass it on to my girls, my wife, family and friends. 

Thank you Mom for everything. I love you and pray one day I will see you again.

In remembrance of Irma:Our family remembers  Irma as a blessing. We always will see her with that sweet smile and dimples greeting us into her house that she made into a loving home full of love laughter and making all visitors feel at home. My daughter Jessica remembers Irma making menudo one New Year's Eve. She never liked it but when she tasted Irma's menudo she loved it and knew that Irma was a wonderful cook. My daughter Jennifer always said Mom I have such a pretty aunt and so sweet. My youngest daughter Jillian always said Aunt Irma is so very pretty and would always ask about her health. Irma  my family remembers  you as a truly Christian woman that loved and cherished her family. God granted her that spirit of love to give her husband, my brother, Roland and their 2 sons Roland and Mark and their beautiful grandchildren who she loved dearly and her extended family and friends. She loved her grandchildren knocking on her bedroom door to let them in so they could jump in bed with her and Roland. She told me endearing stories about her sons and grandchildren. She loved her life and complaining was not a part of it. Through all her pain she lived through she still spoke lovingly. Her love will always be a part of our lives. . Irma was a true believer in Christ Jesus and Christians never die.  Like the Great Billy Graham said -My home is in Heaven. I'm just traveling through this World. The righteous will go into eternal life Mathew 25:46. Irma is a citizen of Heaven now. Our Prayers and Sympathy to the family of Roland and Irma Medrano and family from Robert and MaryAnn Mataxas and family

My sister my best friend, I miss you already. I will surely miss the nacho nights and late night talks we would have when, you would visit me in Houston. You were a Miracle sis, when god returned you to us after a long 3 month induced coma. 
You returned to us healthy and without pain for 2 more years. (No more carrying around that heavy purse, that kept your lungs functioning)  I can not be greedy and selfish that our Lord took you where you belong. 
Now, you will stroll into the pasture of Paradise with our Lord so freely with our loved ones, Daddy, Johnny, Hector, our sweet Patsy, Grandpo and Grandmo with a smile, a smile so  big ~~as big as  the eye can see. 
Please, do not worry about the love of your life Roland and the your most precious gifts from God, Little Roland and Mark and your grandbabies, they will always have all of us around them and won't be forgotten. I will miss you dearly my sister, there will always be a whole in my heart. 
Thank you for being my sister and my best friend.
