Fabian Garcia Jr., age 84, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. He was born on March 17, 1934 in Raymondville, TX to Fabian Garcia Sr. and Cayetana Gonzalez. He resided in Corpus Christi, TX since 1962. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Fabian Garcia Jr. served during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 through 1955. He worked at the Harlingen Air Force Base in 1956 through 1961 as an engine mechanic. He also worked at the Corpus Christi Army Depot from 1962 through 1990 as a Material Management Supervisor.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Cayetana Gonzalez; father, Fabian Garcia Sr.; and brother Ricardo Garcia.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria L. Garcia; children, Javier Miguel (Petra) Garcia, David Luis (Nelda) Garcia, Ruben Rene (Imelda) Garcia , Mario Victor (Cynthia) Garcia, Fabian Roel Garcia, Dr. Rose Marie (Robert) Martinez; brother, Oscar (Teruko) Garcia; sister, Sylvia (late Armin) Correa; sister-in-law Maria Dolores Garcia; grandchildren, Stefanie, Kristina, Katherine, Jacob, Victoria, Michael, Alyssa, Brandon, Marisa and Matthew; great-grandchild, Mia.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel -
Memorial Holly with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel - Memorial Holly. Services will conclude in chapel.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
