Evelina H. Martinez, age 75, passed away September 19, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas with her family by her side. She was born to the late Isidoro and Josefa Hernandez on January 1, 1937 in Mirando City, Texas.
Evelina was a long time member of Primera Assamblea De Dios Church where she led the TLC Ministry for 21 years and she served in many ministries in the church. She worked at Memorial Hospital for more than 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Juan Jose Hernandez and sister, Margarita H. Dives.
Evelina is survived by her loving children, Joe A. Martinez (Linda Rios), Esther Bribiesca, and Ruben H. Martinez; grandchildren, Elizabeth Nicole Martinez, Ruben Martinez Jr., Ashley Bribiesca, Aubree Ruiz and Josh Rios. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; sister, Andelia H. Munguia; brother, Heriberto R. Hernandez and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with funeral services at 1:30 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
