He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Rodriguez and a son, Joe Richard Rodriguez.
Ernesto was a Korean War Veteran with the U.S. Army and he continued his dedicated service as a member of the VFW.
Ernesto is survived by his children, Mary Frances Rodriguez, Ernest Rodriguez (Debi), Alice Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez (Veronica). He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a special cousin, Cruz Zamudio (Josie).
The family would like to give a special thanks to Christus Spohn Pavilion 8th floor for their loving care and compassion extended to the family and their dad.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park with full military honors.
