Elsa retired from Christus Spohn Memorial after working 37 devoted years in the Emergency/Trauma Department. She was of strategic importance to the entire Emergency and Trauma Dept. and to all she worked with and served.
To her family and long friends she will remain a legacy. Her love will be felt forever and carried on through everyone she has loved.
Elsa was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando G. Balboa; her parents, and two brothers, Miguel and Pedro Jr. Aguirre.
She is survived by her son, Ricardo Villarreal (Irma); daughter, Janie Balboa-Moreno (Richard); grandchildren, Sarah, Valerie, Fernando (Abriana), Miguel (Sandra) Villarreal and Roman D. Balboa-Moreno; great grandchildren, Anthony, Jacob, Don, Sadie, Penny, Marcella, Randon, Maximus, Micheal and Aiden.
Elsa had three sisters, Carla Barrera (David), Alma Sandoval (Joe) and Monica Aguirre; one brother, Aldo Aguirre (Angelica) and numerous nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.
Elsa was always willing to give of herself. She had a strong belief that giving to others was the most enduring and desirable quality in life. This would conquer any adversity in life. She was the embodiment of what a true Christian to love without hesitance was. To be a servant of 37 years is the representation of a true servant of God’s endeavor.
