She passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the age of 78.
Liz, as she was known, was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother Richard.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Moises Reyes; her loving sons, Nathen Reyes (Gleda), Mark Reyes, and Roland Reyes (Michelle). She is also survived by her beautiful granddaughter, Kimberly Reyes, and 2 sisters, Yolanda Larkins and Norma Luis (Daniel), a wonderful aunt and close friend Mary Martinez in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Liz dedicated her life to God as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 14, 1960, at the age of 13. Even facing health challenges Liz always made it her priority to attend weekly meetings, drawing strength from the support of her spiritual brothers and sisters. She also found immense joy in participating in the field ministry sharing God’s promised with all she met. She was hospitable and always welcomed family along with spiritual brothers and sisters from other nations making them feel at home.
Liz had a deep affection for God’s creation especially birds. She took great joy in raising and nurturing them. Their vibrant, beautiful colors captivated her so much that she often reflected them in her clothing choices. Liz also had a passion for travel with a love for the mountains. She expressed her desire of one day living there.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love and compassion will live on in their hearts.
